By MUMBAI: Monday was the last day of campaigning for the 2024 Maharashtra assembly elections. Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde on Monday campaigned in support of Shaina NC, who is the party’s candidate from the Mumbadevi seat.
“The grand bike rally and Rath Yatra of Mahayuti concluded successfully in Mumbadevi Assembly. The presence of Chief Minister Shri @mieknathshinde ji in this historic event made the program even more special,” said wrote on X.
“The enthusiasm and support of the people in the rally proves that the victory of Mahayuti in Mumbadevi is certain. This event is a symbol of the resolve of Mahayuti and the faith of the people in the development of the area. We are all united to give a new direction to Mumbadevi!,” Shaina NC wrote on X.
Shaina NC, a former BJP spokesperson, joined Shiv Sena after the Eknath Shinde-led party fielded her from Mumbadevi. She is contesting against incumbent Congress MLA Amin Patel, who has represented the Mumbadevi constituency since 2009.
Over the past few days, Shaina’s campaign featured high-profile appearances by actor Govinda, member of Parliament and the chief minister’s son Shrikant Shinde, and Union minister Kiren Rijiju.
