New Delhi, India – On November 10, 2024, the Islamic Center in Delhi served as the venue for the impactful Global Leadership Summit and Awards, presented by SOLApreneurs Magazine and Swarna Parivaar Trust, presided by the esteemed and celebrated Adv. Peeyush Pandit, featuring a powerful panel discussion titled “Women: Pillar of Sustainability.” Organized as part of the Mahila Udyami Women’s Empowerment and Business Hub, the event brought together over 200 guests to celebrate and recognize the achievements of more than 100 leaders in education, entrepreneurship, civic organizations, and enterprises.
The “Women: Pillar of Sustainability” global panel showcased six dynamic entrepreneurs from around the world who are champions of sustainability and women’s empowerment. The esteemed panelists included:
- Shefali Khana, a renowned sustainability expert in India, who shared her insights on integrating sustainable practices across various sectors.
- Astha Dixit, a celebrated dancer, actress, and women’s empowerment advocate in India and the USA, who discussed the transformative power of the arts in driving social change.
- Liz Hartman, from the USA, a fashion sustainability advocate and now a resident in Delhi, explored the intersection of fashion and environmental responsibility.
- Madhavi Advani, a luxury brand expert in India, provided valuable perspectives on sustainable luxury and ethical consumerism.
- Viola Edward, an internationally recognized transcultural breathwork trainer, transpersonal psychotherapist from the UK and living in Cypress, an expert on sustainable lifestyle, personal and business consultant, and social entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience.
- Linda Pereira from Portugal, is a global events producer and women’s economic empowerment leader, who shared her expertise in creating platforms for women to thrive in business.
The panel was expertly moderated by Dr. Virginia Rivera, Chief Operating Director at Mahila Udyami and Vice President of Peeyush Group of Companies and Trust, who guided the discussion with thought-provoking questions and insights.
The discussions highlighted the vital role of women in fostering sustainable practices and empowering communities and how we can continue to strengthen their opportunities for more impact. Attendees were inspired by the shared experiences and actionable insights that aim to build a more sustainable future.
