In alignment with the 2024 International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) theme, “Amplifying the Leadership of Persons with Disabilities for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future,” we are reminded of the critical role people with disabilities play in shaping a more equitable and sustainable world. The theme underscores the global disability rights movement’s core message: “Nothing About Us Without Us.” This principle emphasizes the need for inclusion, representation, and ensuring that every voice is heard in shaping our collective future.
At Swarna Bharat Parivaar Trust and Kartikey Foundation, we remain steadfast in our commitment to turning this vision into reality. We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of the Miles Ahead School for Differently Abled Children, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing inclusive education and empowerment to children with disabilities. The school, set to open its doors in January 2025, will serve as a transformative space where differently-abled children can access high-quality education, foster independence, and develop skills to lead fulfilling lives.
Today, at E Village, we hosted a meaningful discussion about the preparations for the school. Our collaborative efforts are focused on creating a nurturing environment that not only supports the academic growth of these children but also encourages personal empowerment and leadership. The Miles Ahead School will prioritize inclusivity, provide tailored educational programs, and ensure that every student’s potential is recognized and nurtured.
