By Kunda, India – Swarn Bharat Parivar (SBP), a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering rural communities, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with a leading USA-based NGO for its initiative, “Project Women Entrepreneurs (महिला उधमी योजना).” This collaborative effort aims to strengthen India’s rural landscape by providing extensive training and employment opportunities to women in under-resourced areas.
Through this joint venture with the U.S.-based NGO, SBP is set to launch the Women Entrepreneurs Project with a strong focus on skill-based training and job creation. The first phase of this project includes setting up a pickle manufacturing unit and initiating training batches in July. This initiative promises to create transformative livelihood opportunities for rural women across India.
Dr. Virginia Rivera, a prominent figure from the United States in skill development and women’s entrepreneurship, will contribute her expertise and resources to empower women through skill-building and entrepreneurship. Her involvement highlights the international commitment and cooperation needed to drive sustainable change in rural India.
Rural women make up a significant segment of India’s population but face numerous challenges, including limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. With initiatives like Project Women Entrepreneurs, SBP aims to bridge these gaps and unlock the potential of rural women as catalysts for community development.
The International Day of Rural Women, observed on October 15 by the United Nations, serves as a poignant reminder of the invaluable contributions of rural women worldwide.
